The Facilities at the Spa
The Spa on Port Royal Sound offers 3 pools; 2 outdoor and 1 indoor, a hot tub, and work out room. The property is beautifully landscaped with walks, lagoons with fountains and bridge, a tremendous pier for wonderful viewing of the Sound, swings, picnic areas with grills, a small playground area, 3 tennis courts, a basketball court, and bike racks.

Adjacent to this lovely secluded waterfront community are public parks and preserves. Fish Haul Creek offers an observation pier and deck to view the abundant birdlife; amongst them are herons and shorebirds. A walk through the peaceful Maritme Forest from the beach and marsh will bring you to the deck. Or drive up and park in the lot.
This section of shoreline on Hilton Head Island on an old maps is called Hidden Beach.
Our beach on Port Royal Sound was made for sunbathing, relaxing, beachcombing, sandcastles, kite flying, nature watching and fun things for all ages.

Port Royal Sound is not considered a swimming beach, but Folly Field, Coligny, and Driessen Beach Parks are nearby.
Fishing on the Sound is a popular pastime including casting from shore. Clams are abundant in the flats during low tide and old oyster beds are visible along the shore.
We are a gated, no pet community with 24-hour onsite security.
The Spa is on Port Royal Sound on the north end of Hilton Head Island. The wave action on the Sound is gentler than the ocean and the shoreline more protected. As you look out across the water the ocean can be seen to the right of the barrier islands to our north.
Living on open tidal water is to experience continuous changes with the tides, weather conditions and activity on the water. There is nothing like a sunny day looking out at the Sound, but the drama of storm clouds on the horizon has its own appeal.
The stone structures that appear in many of the photographs are groynes. They are part of Hilton Head Island’s successful and ongoing beach regeneration program.
Within a short car ride from The Spa there are over 20 public golf courses, 300 restaurants, movie and live theaters, shopping, music clubs, and other exciting vacation activities. Less than an hour's drive from Hilton Head Island are many attractions in the Lowcountry and Savannah. Or enjoy the amazing foods, shopping, sight seeing, and culture of Charleston in 2 hours.
